Spend Your Heart

The album's title track is an adaptation of a poem written by my grandmother,

Edna Hamilton.  She published two books of poetry, one of which was entitled

Spend Your Heart.

As I began working on this project, I realized that "spending your heart" is how my mother has lived her entire life. I incorporated much of my grandmother's poem, adding additional lyrics and melody. I am happy to share this piece of my family history with you.
